Sometimes we think it’s the big things that change our lives but more often than not, it’s the little things. Here are 5 little things you can do to change your life today.

1. Sit on your (made up) bed for 5 minutes.
Taking 5 minutes in the morning will just center your thoughts and allow you to focus on what needs to be prioritized.
Try not to pick up your phone before you have done this.
Don’t think of this as “meditation”, just breathe nice and slow and think about what you need to do.
2. Order or read a book.
There are so many different and wonderful books out there to inspire you to make a difference in your life. I am currently reading:
My takeaway from the book: “Most people are living an illusion based on someone else’s beliefs”.
My takeaway from the book: “what happens when ordinary people confront giants – (which may be defined as) armies and mighty warriors to disability, misfortune, and oppression”.
My takeaway from the book: “an understanding of the conditions of human obesity: what actually causes weight gain and what we can do about it”.
3. Drink water: The benefits of drinking water include:
- Could aid weight loss
- Can improve mood
- May prevent headaches
- Energizes you
- Helps you think more clearly
4. Appreciation Exercise
Practice gratitude every single day.
This can be as simple as saying “I am blessed” as many times as you can during the day.
Try and reframe any bad situations by saying to yourself, “I am blessed that this happened because…..”
5. Do a Meyers-Briggs test.
I personally think it is so insightful about learning some of the characteristics that make up who you are as a person.
